Rockin’ The Ruff
When I say how we rocked the ruff I mean myself, my fabulous friend Pam Webb, and a whole other host of generous, caring, animal lovers. Less than two months ago Rockin’ The Ruff golf and social event for animal rescue was simply an idea. Fast forward six weeks from that date and it was a reality. Pam and I simply love animals and care deeply about the welfare of animals. We’ve both been raising funds through our events for years and Rockin’ The Ruff was our first collaboration. The event was produced by our own companies Rockin’ 4 Rescues and Vegas Rock Dog™ Neither Pam nor I are scared of hard work and that’s exactly what we did for six weeks straight…we both had messy houses, our fridges were empty, we had more meetings than ever thought possible in such a short period of time, and we clocked a lot of miles on our vehicles. Event planning and execution are not for the faint of heart, you must have a plan, and a great system to track every sponsor, donation, and ticket sale. It’s important that you deliver what you promise and thank each and every single person and business that supported you in your event becoming a reality. This blog post is just that…a heartfelt thank you for some of the most amazing people we know and some who have now become our friends.

“Such an awesome event. So happy to be a part of it!” ~ Jessica P.
“What an amazing event!! From the chic and delicious food to the inspired and fitting entertainment, everything was a delight! Who doesn’t want to have fun and raise money for a great cause at the same time? Can’t wait to go again next year!” ~ Hannah E.
“Saturday, I had the opportunity to attend an amazing event here in Las Vegas called Rockin’ The Ruff -a fundraiser for dogs- held by Vegas Rock Dog and Rockin’ 4 Rescues-benefiting four different rescue groups. It was an all day event starting with golf for those who play and later, a social event for those who enjoy mingling, relaxing and good company. For the golfers, the morning weather held up beautifully and for the social event, participants enjoyed a fantastic lunch and delicious dessert all while watching the talented entertainment-including Ben Stone, Jasmine Trias, Geechy Guy, Mark Giovi, Jeff Young and Sherri Klein. Swag bags with a variety of goodies were distributed to those who attended, including treats and other items for dogs. Humans also got to enjoy some exciting items such as free concert tickets and other fun gifts, making the event well worth the inexpensive price. To add to the fun, auction items from many popular bands and artists were bid upon, and let’s not forget the amazing raffles and prizes. If the fundraiser is held again next year, it’s worth it to go- an afternoon of fun in a room filled with people that have the same goal in mind- dog rescue.” Elizabeth P.
Look out for our announcement regarding next year’s event! We’ll rock it again for rescues.
