Vegas Rock Dog TM is pleased to bark about their soon to debut Rock ‘n’ Roll Over pet sitting services. The new division of Vegas Rock Dog TM is due to launch early September.  Always being asked by their clients for petsitter recommendations they realised they should be the recommendation. Lexee and Rocky Update

Lexee and Rocky rocked their debut at the 2nd Annual Pug K event in San Diego. The Pug Rescue of San Diego is an awesome group of people with the biggest of hearts. As you can see these siblings are just rockin’ life and their Vegas Rock Dog bandannas. I cannot wait to see what the next chapter holds for Lexee and Rocky. Finally to prove how hip these peeps are watch their event video and just take at look at Suzi’s tattoo…it doesn’t get anymore rock ‘n’ roll than that. 34 Tons of Dog Food Delivered from Best Friends to Vegas Furry Friends

There’s a reason that Best FriendsAnimal Sanctuary is called Best Friends. They recently delivered 34 tons of dog food to Three Square the largest food bank in Nevada. With the economic turn down affecting families and their pets it is without a doubt that the delivery of this food will be a life saver. Pet owners are finding that it is becoming more and more difficult to feed their pets when they have trouble putting food on the table for their families and this has lead to a deluge of pets being turned in at the shelters. Foster Homes Needed for Viva Las Vegas Dachshunds

The lovely Leilani and Barbara of the Las Vegas Hot Diggity Dachshund Recue and Club need your help. They have five dachshunds that desperately need foster homes and ultimately forever homes. Foster homes are essential when a forever home has not yet been found. It gives the dachshund the opportunity to be in a loving home and receive additional training and socialization. If you can open your hearts to one of these cute pups and become a foster parent please contact the club and rescue for details. Anytime that I can spend more time with my dogs doing something that I love is always a real treat. Lexee & Rocky-A Rocky Start-To Rockin’ Lives

These two beautiful jet-black, eleven-week old pug puppies caught my attention when they were tweeted about on Twitter. They were born back in March as part of a large litter where there wasn’t enough room for all nine babies to develop normally. Lexee and Rocky suffered as a result and were both born with deformed front legs; Lexee had one bad leg and little Rocky couldn’t use either of his front legs. The puppies were turned over to Pug Rescue of San Diego County where they were indeed  given a chance at a normal life.
Suzi Schutzman, Pug Rescue’s Adoption and Medical V. P, took the brother and sister to Dr. Serdy at the Pet Emergency Clinic in El Cajon for evaluation. It was determined that both dogs had genetic dislocation of the front limbs and needed costly surgeries.  The surgeries thankfully were a reality for L & R and were successful yet costly and ran close to $4,000. Despite the fact that they didn’t have the best start in life, the Pug Rescue is determined to give them a new beginning so they can be adopted into loving, forever homes. Pug Rescue of San Diego County is dedicated to saving Pugs – young and old, healthy and sick, disabled, abandoned, and in need. It is your generous donations that will help Pug Rescue of San Diego County give all these puppies the full and happy lives they deserve.

There’s a nice trend of showing and selling great art pieces for the benefit of helpless animals and it is through a follower on Twitter that I got to know about the Friends of Cookeville and Putnam Co. TN’s “The Best Is Yet To Come” art event. It always fun to dress up and go to a fund raising event for our four legged friends and with the weather just being delightful right now I can’t think of a better time to don your finest Summer attire, enjoy refreshments, make friends, and purchase art all in the name of animals in need. This art event features over 30 artists from all over the US and there is one notable artist that you know well and that is famed singer Tony Bennett. We’re in a time where donations have certainly been fewer than ever and the need happens to be greater. So I’m urging you to attend what will be a most elegant and worthy event that spreads over 2 days this coming weekend. Twitter A Fabulous World Community #Pawpawty Helps Animals in Need

 

Twitter has proven that you can create communities made up of people from all over the world by sending out a tweet. Still fairly new myself to Twitter I will say there is a learning curve as to all the wonderful things you can do with this new phenom. Yes a simple message with only 140 characters is more powerful than you can imagine. An example of creativity by one of the anipals on Twitter is Frugal Dougal who created the #pawpawty. Frugal Dougal is a 13 year old cairn terrier. On a daily basis I would see the hashtag #pawpawty but hadn’t grasped the concept of the hashtag reference. So I sent out my tweet this morning asking someone to explain the #pawpawty. I would like to send a shout out to @sylviedog and @dogstories for hipping me to the #pawparty and a great article that made it all very clear. #pawpawty was created by @frugaldougal and about once a month, a virtual party is organized to raise money for animal rescue organizations.  Hey I thought I want to be a part of the #pawpawty after all if there’s a pawty I want to be invited. Frugal Dougal is from England and I’m a Brit living in Vegas so I felt an instant connection to the mother land and to the cause of #pawpawty site. Gorgeous Sheila Needs A Home

Gorgeous and loving dog needs a good home. Please help find Sheila a home. She is a gorgeous 2 year old boxer mix…not sure what the other part is but she is mostly boxer as you can see from the photo. She is potty trained, loves to swim, knows commands and is very sweet and loving. She is high energy but not as rambunctious as other boxers we have known.
